L’Atelier Letterpress is a french graphic design studio combined with a high-end printing workshop. From conception to careful production, we work passionately every day to create a refined stationery.
L’Atelier Letterpress was born out of the passion of two paper lovers for this artisanal printing technique with unrivaled rendering and endless creative possibilities. When Mylène and Denis discovered this craft, it was in full revival in Anglo-Saxon countries and especially in the United States, but was almost unknown in France. After acquiring their first press, they did not hesitate to go for several months in Australia and the United States to train with references in this field, so that they could then offer it in France.
Our eco-responsible approach
The Atelier is located in an exceptional setting, aboard a barge nestled in lush greenery in Essonne, south of Paris, it is probably the only printing house in the world on a boat! We are therefore naturally very sensitive to the impact we have on the environment.
We carefully select certified and if possible recycled papers, as well as environmentally friendly manufacturing techniques and processes.
Mylène, art director :
After studying cinema at the École Louis Lumière and then graphic design at the Ecole Estienne in Paris, she worked for several years for large Parisian agencies. She created with Denis L’Atelier Letterpress in 2009.
Denis, master printer :
After several years in finance, he threw himself into the adventure of the letterpress in 2009 with Mylène. The acquisition of the first Heidelberg Windmill is followed by training at the very prestigious Design College in Brisbane, Australia, then completed by work alongside a great Boston printer, one of the pioneers of the renaissance of letterpress in the United States. He will always go further to obtain the perfect rendering.
